Lürssen launches 117m superyacht Boardwalk

Written by Emily Dawkins and Holly Margerrison for BOAT International

Lürssen has released further details on the 117-metre superyacht now known as Boardwalk (previously Project 13797). Following her launch from the yard’s facilities in Lemwerder, Germany, last week, the yacht will now undergo final outfitting ahead of her 2026 delivery.

A blend of European craftsmanship and American design, the Lürssen was commissioned in 2022 by an American owner who, according to the yard, has been “deeply involved throughout the design process, contributing to everything from the general arrangement and onboard flow to the interior and exterior styling”. The yacht’s classical lines and timeless interior are the work of Frank Woll and Amy Halffman.

Designed as a family retreat on the water, Boardwalk’s expansive decks welcome an array of entertainment areas. Images reveal the yacht’s striking white profile, with her six decks host to two helipads – one of which is certified and positioned forward on the guest deck – as well as a sizeable beach club, large pool and adjoining spa pool on the aft deck.

Boardwalk also features numerous lifestyle features, including a putting green and spacious gym.

Further details about the new build have been kept tightly under wraps, though her name suggests she is the successor to the 76.5-metre Feadship yacht Boardwalkwhich entered the market in September. The same owner had a Westport 164, also called Boardwalk, before the Feadship, now known as Night Howl.
